Mathias Durand is a composer, producer and singer-songwriter born in France in 1983. At five, he learns piano from his grandmother Félicie Duriez, then starts to play the guitar and sing.

From 2006 to 2010, he studies in the class of acousmatic composition with Régis Renouard-Larivière in conservatoire Erik Satie, Paris 7e.

He releases his debut album Broken Letters in 2008 followed in 2013 by Caïn, under the name IT.
​
In Calcutta in the summer 2009, he starts his training in Indian classical music with Pandit Santanu Bandyopadhyay. Since 2013 he also learns the sitar from Sri Shubo Chakraborty.
​
He has also plays guitar and sings with Alacazas Jasey, IT, John Ulysses Mitchell (Head on), Joseph Leon (the Bare Awakenning) and nowadays with the indo-french band Tritha Electric.
​
He worked as a producer or mixing engeener with IT, Tritha Electric, La Mouche, The Ska Vengers, Orphan Train, Ramuntcho Matta, Lazy Bird, Skata Vibration and composed soundtrack for movies by Gabriel Laurent, Lia Giraud, Julie Bruchert, Neary Adeline Hay, Laurent Reyes.
