Eliza Shaddad
Born to Sudanese and Scottish parents, Eliza Shaddad is a descendent of a long line of artists and poets dating back to the 1800’s. Eliza’s great great grandfather was James Paterson, one of the Glasgow Boys – a group of artists challenging the style and subject of late Victorian Scottish painting.

After a previous EP that hit critical acclaim receiving airplay across BBC Radio 1, 2, 6 Music, BBC Radio Scotland, XFM, Amazing Radio, KCRW, and strong support from The Sunday Times, The Line of Best Fit, Clash Magazine, i-D Magazine, and The 405, Eliza Shaddad returns with follow up EP ‘Run’ released early 2016.

Since the release of the ‘Waters’ EP Shaddad and her band have seen their reputation for powerful live shows grow. Rooted in this more overdriven sound Shaddad’s voice thrives, and live something candid and raw is turned loose upon audiences. Live highlights have included sold out London headline shows, festivals including Wilderness, Boardmasters and the BBC at the Edinburgh Fringe, a support tour for Strand of Oaks, and dates with Soléy, Rhodes, James Bay, Dustin Tebbut, Andreya Triana, Sarah Jarosz and Michael Chapman.

With Grammy-award winners Clean Bandit, Eliza has written for and featured on their top 10 debut album ‘New Eyes’, supported Rudimental, SBTRKT and Mercury-prize winners Alt-J, and performed live on BBC Radio 1 with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra.

“Haunting acoustica, with a hint of menace” – The Sunday Times

“Vocally, Shaddad exhilaratingly toes the edge of unbridled fury. 8/10″ – The Line Of Best Fit
