Sneers. is a music project started in late 2012 in Berlin by songwriter/guitarist M.G. Blaankart and drummer Leonardo O. Stefenelli.
They released two records (LPs), “For Our Soul-Uplifting Lights To Shine As Fires” (2014) and “With Flames Like Hope To Mortals Given” (2016) and both were followed by long tours in Italy, France, Germany, Belgium, Poland, Czech Republic. In February 2018 they recorded new album “Heaven Will Rescue Us, We’re The Scum, We’re in The Sun”, with the studio collaboration of Kristof Hahn (SWANS) at the lap-steel guitar and produced by Craig Dyer (The Underground Youth).
Their music is made of a sound barrier where notes abandon the common harmony and repeat themselves obsessively, in a compulsive way, while the guitar devotionally moans, through noise instincts and melodies for souls. The drums is gloomy and savage, and the voice is sharp and emerges like a neurotic explosion.
The album will be release on September 21st 2018 by Manchester based label God Unknown Records.
