L’auteur-compositrice-interprète américano-jamaïcaine et le quintet du jeune pianiste français combinent leurs talents et leurs univers dans l’album « Lost Myself », paru en avril dernier.
Californienne d’origine, Shola Adisa-Farrar interpelle par sa voix distinctive et percutante. Après huit ans à New-York où elle obtient une licence de musique et de nombreux voyages à travers le monde pour des représentations, la chanteuse s’installe définitivement à Paris où elle affine son style musical, empreint de jazz, de soul et d’influences caribéennes. « Lost Myself » est son tout premier album.
Diplômé de la New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, Florian Pellissier est une figure bien connue de la scène jazz parisienne qu’il enchante de ses influences hard-bop. A la tête de son propre quintet depuis 2012, il a sorti trois albums acclamés par la critique, dont le tout récent Cap de Bonne Espérence en ce début d’année 2016.
Les deux artistes débutent leur collaboration en 2013, collaboration qui aboutit aujourd’hui à un répertoire riche alternant entre reprises de grands standards du jazz et compositions originales.

Native of Oakland, California, garnered attention for her distinct raspy voice. After living in New-York for 8 years, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music, and many years travelling to perform, she is now a true resident in Paris where she develops her musical style. « Lost Myself » is her debut album.
A graduate of The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, Florian Pellissier is well-known for the hard-bop style he brings to the Parisian jazz scene. With this Quintet he has released three acclaimed albums, including « Cap de bonne espérance » released earlier this year.
